Beautiful Antiquing

Quite by accident, designer Daisy Allen Phillips created her shop, Marguerite, to bring beautiful things for the home into one space.

She began building her inventory, one piece at a time, with meaningful, well-crafted items that spoke to her, especially those she incorporated into her own interiors. Today, her boutique is a compelling sanctuary within Portland, Oregon's West Moreland neighborhood—a go-to destination for shoppers seeking well-scoured home furnishings and handmade necessities. Engaging window displays beckon passers-by inside this Paris-style salon that brims to the rafters with European reproduction furniture, fine linens, and exceptional antique accessories.

"Marguerite" on 1520 Southeast Bybee Boulevard is a store that would be a dream to own...or to just work in...or how about to shop in! From the mill- work, to the ornate displays, to the mountainous bounty of treasures both old and new, Marguerite's is on our list of favorite places to visit! Does one ever tire of scouring antique shops for home interior products? Those little beauties that inspire us or those tiny treasures that you just enjoy walking past, looking at and touching each day! At this store you will find lovely scented soaps, pajamas, French whitening toothpaste, powder puffs and much more!
Owner Daisy Allen Phillips, Marguerite means daisy in French,  has every detail down to a fine science. Go back often because the merchandise and displays change with the season's! There is a definite visit coming this fall....or even Christmas...can you imagine?
